I've had this experience also.. in fact.. I've gotten multiple random IM's from people named "somethingTrout".. Once I actually got into a conversation with one of them I realized, they thought I had im'd them and my name was showing up as spongytrout. Very odd indeed.. A few weeks ago I had someone do a similar thing, but they started coming up with these odd reasons for why they were contacting me and try were trying to get information from me.
