Last.fm Feature Focus: Paste Your Taste
July 9th, 2009I recently discovered a really cool feature of last.fm. Since last.fm tracks what I listen to in Windows Media Player and on the website itself, it has really good metrics of what I listen to. Last.fm does a lot with that data, including creating a concise paragraph that summarizes my musical taste. This is great of pasting on Facebook and other social networking sites.
All you have to do is go to your profile page and scroll down to the “top artists” area. Click “Paste Your Taste” and a little box will come up with the previously-mentioned paragraph. It’s really nice how first it starts with the specific genres (and you know they’re accurate), then lists the top artists in order of personal popularity. Nice. Now if the last.fm Scrobbler would only track what I listen to on my Zune I’d be all set.

Navigon 7200T GPS Pictures (high quality)
July 6th, 2009I recently bought a Navigon 7200T from Amazon.com. While it is the second-highest rated GPS on Cnet.com right now, I was dismayed at the scarcity of information about the device. The reviews that I read from Cnet and Amazon were mostly positive, but I could never find a high-quality picture of the device or even a video of an actual moving map. (Navigon has produced several video tutorials for just about everything else, however.) The first thing I did when I got the device in the mail was take a bunch of high quality pictures. Enjoy.
Here is the device itself with the key to my car for size comparison. This thing was surprisingly tiny.
